I'm currently 28 years old. I reside in the Allston neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts. I was born in New York City but my hometown is the town of Waitsfield, Vermont (pop. 1,659) which resides in the Mad River Valley. This is also the hometown of world famous pop star Grace Potter and we did grow up together. I went to high school in Simsbury, Connecticut at the Westminster School. Boarding school was my own decision and one I will always stand by. After graduating high school, I went and got a B.A. in History at Syracuse University. Let's just say though that my true education was in college radio and beers of the world. I've since gone back to round out my education and am currently working on a B.S. in Entertainment Business at Full Sail University with the hope of breaking into the music industry.
I tried to enter sports management after school, working for the Vermont Expos of the New York-Penn League after internships there and at the Syracuse Crunch hockey club but it didn't work out and wasn't for me. I moved to New York City in April 2006. I worked at the Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. selling t-shirts and at that time, I got a call from Apple Computer to attend a hiring seminar. Somehow I made it through and I've worked for Apple for almost 6 years now. I left New York in 2008 to join my fiancé in Pittsburgh, PA as she attended Carnegie Mellon University. After school, we had to move elsewhere. It came down to Los Angeles and Boston and after a few turn of events, Boston ended up winning out; which works for me because I'm a huge Boston Red Sox fan.
As you can tell from the title of this blog, I'm a huge music fan. My first concert was hometown heroes Phish in my own backyard at Sugarbush North ski area. Shortly there after I saw the Rolling Stones at Olympic Stadium in Montreal. It was my 11th birthday present from my parents. Since then, I've probably attended a few hundred shows and own hundreds of records. There may be others with bigger collections and people who've seen more shows but nobody gets a crazy as music as I do.
